Contemporary Austin/ Crit Group
The Contemporary Austin’s Crit Group program selects 8 Central Texas artists per year to participate in a 9 month program aimed to build a network of critical support for working artists dedicated to growing their artistic practices. Monthly sessions include traditional group art critique to provide peer feedback for a new body of work and current work in progress. The program offers one-on-one studio visits with the co-leaders and a gallerist and culminates in a satellite group exhibition at grayDUCK Gallery. Here's a terrific review of the Crit Group program and exhibition from Sightlines Magazine. A big thank you to the Crit Group Triumvirate: Andrea Mellard, Annette Carlozzi and Sterling Allen, for their keen insights, guidance and support.
